Pop and decant and pour

85% opaque red rimmed wine

Nose quite quite dumb. Nothing.

Black cherries aggressively (almost cherries in kirsch) in evidence on the palate, then cherry cobbler, prunes and chocolate.

This is quite good though lacking refinement. Let’s give it a few hours.

This wine seems to be getting younger rather than older as this half is years and years away from peak.

This was a rockstar of the vintage when it was released. It should make very old bones.
