Bottled 2014. Opened at 11.00 and put in the fridge at 3C; poured about 30 minutes before being tasted. Chestnut brown colour, 30% opaque. Soft caramel on the nose with a lovely streak of orange peel, wonderful floral perfume and chocolate. Smooth in texture on the palate; coffee and milk chocolate with a lovely tannic core. Great acidity keeps the wine fresh and lively, leading to a wonderful orange oil aftertaste, drying slightly on the finish. Such a lovely Port! 94/100. Tasted 13-Jun-23. Decanted about ½ hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
