A lovely red. Quite spicy on the nose. On the palate... oh this is good port. Cherries. A bit hot which takes it below a point for me.

Bottled in the UK by an unknown merchant. The deepest coloured of the 1963 Vintage Ports at this tasting - brick-red and 60% opaque. A soft nose of sweet fruit, a nose which is wonderfully well balanced. Perfectly poised on the palate, showing mature fruit and maintaining the balance from the nose - the fresh and expressive acidity is where the balance comes from. The freshness continues on the aftertaste, alongside a touch of tannins in strawberry jelly. Lovely, lovely Port which is still so youthful. 93/100. Decanted 13 hours.
