The wine .... Have to say in the interest of something I have tested the port :-)

Delicate nose of candied apple, cola and hints of milk chocolate. Sweet on the palate, good depth of flavour with cinnamon and clove spice. Medium+ finish. A very good port that did not make it to top grades this time due to lack of complexity and persistence on the finish . 89/100. Tasted 12/09/2023

Bronze red colour, 50% opaque. A glorious nose of dried cherries and star fruit. A touch dry on the palate, bringing intense dried redcurrant that carries a fabulous streak of bitter birch-sap. Hot on the aftertaste, leading to a long aniseed finish. Beautifully balanced, but just a slight hint of bitterness on the palate. A great wine to start with. 90/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

40% oapcity, mature warm red. Red fruit and very faint nougat on the nose. Soft smooth entry, nice and chewy, gentle heat late palate and the finish has a gentle bitterness. Better N66 exists, but this is a fine port.

Really beautiful deep garnet. Cherry scented. Rich full port with a fine long warm finish redolent of bakewell tart. Pretty port.
