1902 Quinta do Sibío produced by José Duarte d’Oliveiro. Bottled in August 1906. Decanted at 7pm. Pale olive brown colour, 20% opaque. Beautifully expressive on the nose, a slightly oxidised edge to the orange and caramel. Orange and coffee on the palate, drier in style with the acidity blossoming on the mid-palate. Full of orange with just a dusting of coffee. Coffee and orange on the aftertaste with a very full bitter orange lengthy finish. Stunning for a wine of this age. Impressive palate, let down by the nose. 88/100. Drunk 02-Mar-24. Decanted 3½ hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
