2021 Quinta de São Luiz. Scarlet colour, narrow rim. Powerful nose of fruit of the forest and sous bois with the alcohol still not fully integrated. Beautiful on the palate, ripe but not sweet fruit - brambles picked on a dewy morning. Soft tannins in the fruit, barely perceptible but with acidity barely held in check by the fruit. Fruit cocktail on the aftertaste, dark chocolate finish, moving to bramble and sour cherry on the long finish. Young, but very drinkable. 89/100.
