Pale rim. Acrid nose. Increasingly unpleasant to me as the evening went on. I don't think I like 1975 port. Others liked this more.

G75: red-pink, 15% opaque. Sweet and softly ’75ish, being very light with lovely balance.

Graham 1975, copper bronze colour with a golden core; 40% opaque. Attractive nose, sweet redcurrant and rosewater - but there is something slightly dirty under the fruit and the spirit sticking out over the top. Sweet, light and elegant; plenty of honeyed fruit. Good acidity on the palate keeps the flavours fresh, vanilla and redcurrant aftertaste with good intensity. Surprisingly bold and persistent finish. Not bad at all. 87/100. Double decanted 8 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

G75. I have limited experience with the 1975 vintage as a whole and have not heard good things about it, so was not expecting much. Expectations greatly exceeded. Light garnet color with pink overtones. Nose of cherry cough syrup but without the medicinal quality. Sweet, light, and pleasant in the mouth. Lovely balance. We'd call this "slurpy" at Port Club. Lacks complexity, but what it does do it does quite well. 93 points.
