Note - apparently bottle was labelled "Symingtons" rather than Quarles Harris, which previous bottles may have been?

50%+ opaque with some slight browning to rim. Nose already mature and not very appealing. Palate better than nose, but only just. Would have been sold to buy & drink immediately, so possibly not a surprise that this is past it. 4/7.

Opened at 21.00. Double decanted at 06.45. Tasted at 19.40.

Mature red colour with a copper coloured rim, 80% opaque. Baked and raisiny on the nose. Sweet and raisiny palate with dry tannins. Baked, but pleasant enough. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

55% opacity, red. Nose has figs. Nice balance, figs, dried cranberry.
