A new book about Port

Post by Prtwine »

For those interested –

With traditional ports struggling to captivate a wide audience and younger wine enthusiasts lacking familiarity or interest in port wines, I wanted to find a way to make these wines more accessible and rejuvenate the community of port lovers. While I wasn’t the first to recognize the impact port wine cocktails can have on both wine and cocktail drinkers, I discovered that there’s surprisingly little written on the topic beyond recipes, some dating back to the 19th century. This inspired me to create The Portologist: Crafting Port Wine Cocktails, a book designed to open the minds of a younger generation and encourage them to explore and create their own port wine cocktails.

To bring this book to life in the next six months, I’ll need your support for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign, launching on November 4th—just before the elections. By signing up at my website - Theportologist, you’ll gain access to a limited edition of the book, along with extras like discounted pricing (who doesn’t love a good deal, right? 😄).

With your support, we can reach a broader audience and share the love for this incredible wine we all cherish!

Thanks for support on this project! Let's make this happen - one port wine cocktail at a time!

So, signed up for further info about this, and got the Kickstarter pitch when it was released yesterday.

Was going to order the book for a very reasonable £19, but decided against it when a £30 delivery charge was added.

Shame.
