NV Graham Six Grapes Old Vines

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Graham Six Grapes, Old Vines edition. A limited release of 6,000 bottles which came on to the market in 2014.

Pop and pour. Much more mature appearance than its siblings, a little more brick in the tone and a wide rim. Warm and sweet on the nose, smelling of strawberries sitting in the sun. Smooth entry, silky texture before a big wave of fruit and wonderful tannins settles comfortably on the palate. The finish is astonishingly long. Sweet and serene, with such utter poise, blending dark chocolate with dried sour cherries. This is a young wine, exquisitely composed and capable of developing in the bottle for many years. I loved it! 92/100. 16-Nov-23.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
