1960 Diez Hermanos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

1960 Diez Hermanos, tasted 19-Feb-2025. A little more youthful in appearance than the previous wine, 1987 Fonseca Panascal. A little warm raspbery on the nose. Raspberry jelly on the palate, together with a touch of lemon oil. Dusty tannins on the aftertaste. Nice complexity on the finish with modest tannins that are slightly bitter in an attractive way. 88/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

It is an actual producer. I’ve also had their 1963 VP.
