1985 Warre

Post by jdaw1 »

As organised by Neil C., some regulars and at least one first-timer gathered at the Boot and Flogger to taste 1985s at Forty.

W85, red, 50% opaque. Sharply dry, with a madras undertone. Likeable, even though not much by me. (I.e., to like it would not be an error.)

50% opacity, red. REd fruit on the nose, cranberries. Lovely rish, full mouthfeel, very smooth. Chewy red fruit, cranberries. Little hint of spice in the finish which had slight bitterness. Ok port - half a point.
