Dow 1955. The darkest of the wines apart from the Mackenzie. Quite restrained on the nose with blackthorn dominating the scent; slightly bitter toned fruit. On the palate the generous fruit is expressive bramble backed by powertul acidity. A lovely bramble finish with a warming menthol streak. Stunning wine, still so youthful. 95/100.
