To record tasting notes and thoughts on fortified wines we might try which do not come from the demarcated region of the Douro Valley

Justino Single Cask Bual 2006Platinum - 9795Well balanced on the nose, on the palate the wine takes its time to build but delivers generous fruit on the mid and late palate. Long, long finish that moves through a number of different phases. This is most definitely wine to sip and savour.
Henriques & Henriques 20YO MalvasiaGold - 9696Rich and concentrated on the nose, gloriously ebullient. Just as big, rich and dark on the palate with intense concentration and a magnificent madeirised maturity. Fabulous wine, I could lose an afternoon sipping this glass and watching the world go by.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny

Alex, Thank you for this. The H&H 20 YO Malvasia is a gem, isn't it?
