Pousada 1970: orange, 15% opaque, very unattractive appearance; palate so acidic that this was no longer Port.

Orange rim, slightly cloudy. Orange palate. Well past doubtful best.

1970 Pousada, a brand from Poças Junior, Oporto bottled. Slightly cloudy appearance, pale golden-brown with lots of sediment at the core. Rather bland on the palate, but there is some fruit in the jellied flavours. Tangerine jelly aftertaste, lingering finish that is surprising in its persistence. 85/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
