2007 Marks & Spencer

Post by winesecretary »

Pop and decant and pour.

Still deeply coloured with a ruby rim.

Nose still has the blueberries but there’s some plum showing.

Palate is super-smooth with lush fruit, a little blueberry at first and a brief flash of redcurrant before the poached plum tones start to move in.

Moves seamlessly to the chocolate - tinged finish with a little coarse orange marmalade, late.

Just about fully ready, but will happily last a decade.

A pleasure to drink. And, again, six quid! I own no better value wine than this.

I might need to dive into the cellar and grab one of these, I've been ignoring mine and it sounds very drinkable!
