Quinta do Vesúvio 1995, bottle number 19180. Dark Red in colour with a wide rim and an opaque centre. A delicious black cherry and blackcurrant nose bring both sweetness and floral perfume. Rich black cherry on the palate with a dusting of black chocolate tannin - big and full of confidence. A little heat on the aftertaste with a menthol tone to the black cherry. Dark chocolate and brief black cherry on the incredibly long finish. Glorious to drink now. Even more glorious in 30 years. 94/100.
