25% opacity, brown centre, tobacco yellow rim. Molasses and citrus fruits. Lovely rich mouthfeel, syrupy, good balance. Extracted fruit, citrus and apricot. Wonderful long aftertaste, structure still superb. Not shabby at all.

The label read "Emergency Laws (Transitional Provisions) Food Labelling 1946 No. 2169 Supplied by HA Tidman, Wisbech."

Mature dark copper colour, 30% opaque. Full and rich on the nose with lots of fruit and generous flavours. Delicious entry, with the flavours promised on the nose being delivered; a great dose of orange marmalade mixed into a lovely thick texture. The delicious palate leads to a full and rich aftertaste with an amazing range of flavours but mainly dominated by the bitter orange and rose hip sweetness at the end. Lovely Port. 90/100. Decanted 2 hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
