35% opacity, mature red. Lovely sweet strawberry nose. Smooth entry, rich, syrupy, strawberries, dryness mid to late palate. Long aftertaste.

Deep rose red with very little brick tone; 40% opaque. Sweet redcurrants on the nose, gentle but not really developed. Fruit led entry, rich and fragrant that is sweet and well balanced. A good palate with lots of ripe fruit and an excellent fragrance and perfume to the palate. Hints of dryness in the palate show the tannins are still present. Lovely red fruit show throughout the palate. Big and fragrant aftertaste and a superb finish of fruit and cranberry. 90/100. Decanted 4 hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
