35% opacity, mature red-brown. Superb smooth entry which then builds to some heat, full mouthfeel, extracted red fruits, some bitterness in the finish.

Mature red colour, 30% opaque. Jellied fruit nose of sweet raspberry jelly. An astonishing palate of jellied raspberry with a peculiar and lively twist of fresh basil leaves. The tannins continue to show on the well balanced palate, that is big but a little rustic. A fragrant aftertaste shows lots of tannin and a great, big, rustic finish. Big but quite a bit of green in the fruit. 85/100. Decanted 4 hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
