30% opacity, mature red, orange rim. oranges, apricot on the nose. Full mouthfeel, rich, syrupy, very gentle heat, caramelised oranges.

Bottled by Grants of St James. Mature pale rose colour, 30% opaque. Sweet jelly nose that seems to be characteristic of Offley from this period, but with a nice freshness to it. Sweet cherry entry with a big pepper mid-palate. The palate is big and satisfying with lots of fruit and a big dose of acidity. Sweet red aniseed leads the aftertaste and is followed by a sticky glacé cherry finish. Quite sweet but with a lovely fragrance to the wine. 87/100. Decanted 14 hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
