1957 Krohn

Post by jdaw1 »

Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, was born on 21 April 1926, so on this day would have been a round telegrammable century. The occasion was marked with “Port Fit For A Queen”: “We know… that in the end all will be well”; “I shall not have strength to carry out this resolution alone unless you join in it with me”.

So this was interesting, under guidance from Harry I left this in my fridge at home for 12 hours before removing it at 3pm and travelling with it in an insulated bag to The B&F

Then at 5:30 it got opened, strained into a decanter left for 5 mins and then split across 12 glasses

Initially it was not that good but it did change quite dramatically over the next 2 hours and became quite a nice aging port ....
