1999 Castelinho

Out of the half bottle. I decided to end my 4 weeks of alcoholic abandonment with something unusual and I wasnt dissapointed.

Very far developed. In a blind tasting I would have guessed to have something from the early 80s in the glass. Very transparent reddish brown color. The bouquet is there imediately: raspberry and coffee with some good complexity. Nice. In the mouth this wine is a pleaser: fully integrated with medium length. Red berries and coffee. Medium aftertaste. Quite nice, but no further potential.

For this being a fairly cheap wine, it is definitely something you cannot complain about. 16
