I regret that due to prior commitments (theatre tickets and a post performance party) I will likely only be on briefly and then very late tonight. I'll celebrate the anniversary of TPF with a glass of Grahams 2007.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Unfortunatley, I had to spend the day in the hospital =(.
Presidential Port for me tonight, that I've bas tardized by adding the last glass of taylor 10 yr old tawny in.
It's actually quite enjoyable now.

I'm having a glass of 2007 Martinez Vintage Port. It's the last glass from a bottle that Roy and I spent the week reviewing, and even 5 days after opening it's still beautiful. I gave it 92-93 points after 3 tastings over 4 days and today (which would be day 5) still supports that conclusion. But I'm not tasting tonight, I'm just enjoying.
I must say that doing a blind tasting is both fun and hard work. Not having any idea what you're tasting forces you to pay much closer attention.
BTW if you have tried and enjoyed the 2003 Noval VP in the last year, buy a bottle or two of this for immediate consumption. I think you'll find it quite to your liking.

For some stupid reason (I put it in the computer) I thought that it was today and was about to wish us a happy birthday - now I feel a bit daft.
Ho hum, I have a glass of Stella Artois in my hand but will have a glass of Port ready for the Two Years and One Day celebration in about an hour,
Alex the maintenance guy

One day late - Morgan's 1991.
It seems more than reasonable to celebrate two years (and one day) since the inception of with a glass of the stuff with which we have all become accustomed. Tom's stash of Morgan's 1991 is now legendary and as I had a bottle standing on Death Row, I considered it rude not to put it out of its misery. Medium dark ruby with a nose of candied peel and stewed berries. Smooth in the mouth but flavours of under-ripe cherries, good mouthfeel and an acidic finish. Great stuff as possibly the best value VP on the planet. Available only from your local Port-loving pyromaniac.

I just noticed this thread so also missed the party - which is probably for the best as no one else seems to have turned up!
I am sitting here having just posted my review of the 2007 cask samples and starting on the process of eliminating the remnants of each of the half bottles that are in my fridge. Tonight I have selected Noval and Warre so these are the ports I will use to wish you all a belated Happy Birthday

And I'm drinking the last of my Grahams 2007.
It's yummy.

Luckily I have yet another "last glass" with which to join the 2 years and 1 day celebration. I'll be finishing off the 2007 Quinta do Vale Meão tonight... and it's a seriously WOW Port.

Warres Otima 10 year, coincidentally. I wound up not in activities conducive to port drinking or decanting, so I grabbed a bottle on the way to a restaurant. Dried Bing Cherry nose, raisins in the mouth; but I think everyone knew that already about Otima.

I am continuing the celebration with a delicious glass of Quarles Harris 2007 which will shortly be followed by a Smith Woodhouse 2007 and then perhaps a Cockburn 2007. Life is tough
