Is it wrong...

...to pop 'n' pour a Vesuvio 97?

If so, I'm "guilty as charged"

What's the best VP you've not given the respect it deserved?

Fonseca 70...

Oh, and julian mailed me a fonseca 66 through US postal. (Does that count even if it was brilliant?)
sometimes I feel like the f66 should have been a port where I'm in my undies surrounded by fellow TPF drinkers ... and afterwards passing out somewhere in great britian.

Your fantasies are getting slightly disturbing.

I think that I'm probably not too bad on this one. Fonseca Guimaraens 1986 probably.
Port is basically a red drink

I'll do you one better. I drank my whole six pack of Vesuvio 97. I got it for a song at auction, drank a bottle, thought it was drinking great, and a few months later they were all gone.

As I recall, it was good wine but I didnt feel like I was really drinking something that was destined to be great. Also I have maybe six cases of port in my cellar at a given time, and it is always a balancing act with me to keep my hands off the stuff that needs lots of time. I just cant afford to go buy a case of 1963, I have to "grow" my own aged stash.

What I meant by this question is what is the best vintage port that you have pulled out of the cellar in an emergency and popped and poured it without decanting or allowing it to get some air?
