1987 Graham Malvedos
Ex-cellars. Deep red, holding into the rim, 90% opaque. Surprisingly closed on the nose considering the extended decant, showing some violets. Full and rich entry with deep flavours. Strong acidity and soft, dry tannins. Very fat and ripe. A dry aftertaste, full of rich fruit. Cheek drying tannins show on the finish and accompany a long length of chocolate and blueberry. This is great port. 92/100. Drunk 25 September 2010.
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!

Re: 1987 Malvedos vintage port
GM87: glorious red, 85% opaque. Thick prune jam, then heat, the heat continuing to the end. Very long.
