1998 Graham Malvedos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Ex-cellars. Deep red, opaque, but with no purple. Open on the nose and full of blackcurrants. Soft texture, with big tannins and lots of ripe blackcurrant. Delicious on the palate, lots of big flavours. Big and fruity aftertaste, with a very long finish. A wine with lots of potential. 90/100. Drunk 26 September 2010.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

GM98: 90% opaque, purple. Heat and big plum-skin fruit. Lovely. Big!
