R60: Quinta do where? More work for the declaration database. Anyway, the nose a hint woody. To taste rich and sweet, but spoiled by an acrid early-palate taste.

A bit tart, something that felt like 'under-steer' on the finish. Not bad, and actually a bit impressive that it could almost hold its own, given the company it was placed in. 82

Re: 1960 Quinta do Rei
Messias owned Quinta. Light centre, the lightest in colour of the final flight (Rei, Dow, Graham, Warre, Martinez). Attractive and elegant nose - full of dusty junipers. Good texture, quite thick with modest initial impact. Slightly simple, but terrific texture across the palate and all the flavours which are present are balanced and enjoyable. Light, but very flavoursome aftertaste and a thick, redcurrant jelly finish. Very tasty and a pleasant surprise. 89/100.

Nice fruity nose - good weight with some tannin - dry, then very sweet in the finish.
