Tried the palm, but our tasting group is too big for me to pull off no corkage, and i dont feel like paying 25$/btl

Sounds great!
I'm thinking Terry might bring a Ramos Pinto from 1999 (I recently ordered 10 bottles of the 1983, but they won't arrive until late next week), and my other friend might bring something like an 87 Noval (though it would be easy -- perhaps even preferrable for one of the three bottles I bring to be an unfortified red wine)

Yeah -- that shouldn't be a problem, as Hillstones is almost exclusively US wines (except champagne).
I don't think we need a sparkler, but if someone wants to bring one in addition to a port, I certainly wouldn't reject it!

That'd work for me.
I'd likely bring one red and two ports (to cover my three people).
Does that work?

Re: Nov 25th - NY Black friday/Purple Drink tasting

Re: Nov 25th - NY Black friday/Purple Drink tasting
Alright, finally sorted out the T-weekend schedule. I'll be coming into NYC on friday via train, thus NOT able to bring glasses.
I can do placemats, but would need to do them in the next 2-3 hrs. As the glass size & count is somewhat uncertain, I'm not sure quite how it will work out. I'm going to look in the basement now to find a Port that is asking to be drunk... Update: it will be an interesting colheita from the early 80's, which should balance out our tasting. I wasn't clear on the corkage situation, are we looking at free corkage for fri?

Well Iam in and out with the TBA in contradiction to port.
Enjoy both.

Hey guys,
I am at the office (53rd and Park) with a few bottles and 6 small glasses. My colleague is with me, and we'll walk over together at about 5 'till 2pm. Terry will join us around then as well.
Looking forward to it!
