1977 Taylor vintage port

Mature in colour, 20% opaque. Subdued nose, showing a little fruit and all spice. Watery texture, hollow entry, very light. Soft aftertaste, and a finish of jelly babies and aniseed. A disappointing bottle of this wonderful wine. 83/100. Drunk 1 Dec 2011.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
