2007 Niepoort crusted port

Bottled 2007; blended principally from 2003, with a little 2005. Deep red, solid centre that is just beginning to lighten on the rim. Limited showing on the nose. Soft, silky texture and firm tannins give a lovely mouth presence with lots of dark cherry fruit. Firm tannins on the aftertaste, then a lovely fruit and chocolate length. 91/100. 14-Jun-12. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
