Deep red, opaque. Closed on the nose, not showing much. Lovely fruit and chocolate palate. Lovely balance on the palate, which is full and flavoursome; some gentle tannins showing on the palate and nice development to the mid- and late-palate. Grapey, fruity aftertaste and dry finish of good length. 87/100. Decanted 24 hours
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

W85, decanted the evening before. red-purple, 80% opaque. Nose of plums. Palate had slightly immature sour unripe fruit.

dwarfed by company; otherwise good, though with slight edge to it - cork had dried/crumbled.
