Re: 1970 Warre
W70. Dark red, 60% opaque. Nose had cherry, tannin, and a slight dryness. Very fine. Taste like nose, lovely. Grade-A port. Big, mature, long. The dryness mis-led me into guessing D70. Very fine.

Re: 1970 Warre
Deep red, firm centre, looking to be in early maturity. Lovely on the nose, full of vibrant fruit - pomegranates and pink grapefruit. Sweet entry, with a great mouth-filling texture; lots of sweet and generous fruit but with a firm acidic core. Perfumed finish, with a long aftertaste. Very fine port, but still with the structure to last many more years in the cellar. Served blind this was guessed to be Graham 1991. 92/100. Drunk 26-Feb-13. Decant N/K.
