Re: Tue 4th June - Farewell to Griff
Gents. Very sorry to report that domestic arrangements mean I shall be unable to attend tomorrow. Have fun.

Hi,
port decanted after breakfast, tempation to have a glass were mega high, since bloody good port. But sadly I have to work today. Snief!
Will bring the Shiraz and the port bt and the cork (only vintage is clearly identifiable) to the Bunghole at mid day and see you later. Will also try to print and leave the placemats there since I will be late tonight. Snief, Snief!
regards

Chance of attendance now increased to about 40% and doing my best to increase it; Decanted a bottle this morning in optimistic mind. Will confirm (or not) around 17:45; If able to make it will arrive around 19:15.jdaw1 wrote:

Re: Tue 4th June - Farewell to Griff
My bottle was decanted at 06:30. The Quevedo 2011 will be pop 'n' pour. Both bottles are in my backpack with a wrapped freezer block between them in a vain attempt to keep the bottles cool during the day.
My bottle was double decanted into a handy empty bottle I had at home. I'm not bringing the original bottle but do have the capsule and cork for Phil to photograph if he is able to make it tonight.

Re: Tue 4th June - Farewell to Griff
Is there a more reliable print option than my nearly-dead toner?
Re: Tue 4th June - Farewell to Griff
did print out the lot but result not good since the page not correctly printed out (page wrong positioned for print out, top empty space and bottom cut). Can you help me to correct this?jdaw1 wrote:Is there a more reliable print option than my nearly-dead toner?

Re: Tue 4th June - Farewell to Griff
Unfortunately i can't as the processing of flowers seems to require me to wait by the printer for 30 mins while it churns.
I can print a version that does not have fancy bits within titles (which seems to cause the problem here).
But i'm currently not sure when between 6.30 and 7.30 i'll be able to arrive.

- The print dialogue box probably controls scaling: set to ‟No automatic page scaling”, or scaling of 100%, or equivalent. (Automatic page scaling can be very wrong, scaling to invisible and irrelevant artefacts in the PDF.)
- On some Konica Minolta printers, and perhaps others, checking ‟Choose paper size by PDF page size” means the output is very small, a mirror image, and on paper of the wrong size. This is not good. On other printers this setting can be useful experiment as necessary.
- If printing on a Mac from the Preview application, and perhaps also with other operating systems or applications, set the paper size to the ‟(borderless)” variant.
- Print single-sided obviously duplex wouldn’t work.
- Use toner not ink, as a single drop of wine or water causes ink to smudge.

I can print if required, although likely to arrive about 6:30pm. Post here or email me if you need me to print.

Re: Tue 4th June - Farewell to Griff
placemats, port, cork and shiraz succesfully delivered to the Bunghole. So no further printing required.
