Scarlet in colour. Beautiful nose of fresh fruit and fresh flowers but modest in volume. There is a little harshness to the port on entry and a fierce acidity that subdues the fruit showing a lack of balance at this early stage of the port's life. The aftertaste is a bit green and woody. An odd style of port if this is representative. 84-86. Snapshot tasting on 24 April 2013.
