Deep magenta, with lifting fruit on the nose that carries a hint of muskiness. Smooth entry, then a rapid build-up of tannins and grip. Quite light- medium-bodied on the palate. Great length. Plenty of tannins but a little light on fruit. 89-91. Snapshot tasting on 24 April 2013.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
