Re: Next week?
I don't have any plans to be in London next week - but that means Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday would work for me...
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports.

I have permission from SCP-DFS; and DRT has my permission.

I could make Thu; but that doesn't sounds like it fits with other's availabilities. Damn.uncle tom wrote:Who's game for a trip to TBH next week sometime?

Re: Next week?
Sadly I am away next week. There has been a marked lack of tastings over the Summer
And I feel the need for some serious port!

Re: Next week?
Tom and I will be having a mini-offline on Thursday in Newport, in addition to whatever Tom is doing with others at TBH earlier in the week; just mentioning in case anyone fancies joining us.PhilW wrote:I could make Thu; but that doesn't sounds like it fits with other's availabilities. Damn.

Re: Next week?
I have found some bottles at home, so will bring one for me and one for DRT.
DRT knows what they are, but not which way round. I will know more than he. Is it still worth maintaining blindness?

Just called TBH to book and was told: 'Julian's already called'

Re: Tues Sept 10th at TBH
Indeed, I have booked The Bung Hole (57 High Holborn, London WC1V 6DT, tel +44 20 7831 8365, streetmap.co.uk, maps.google.co.uk, bing.com).
Two dozen glasses, and the Office or table 6, though if the Function Room is still available, we might invade that.

I am resuming a previous habit of posting software parameters in the thread created for that purpose.
Re: Tues Sept 10th at TBH
Bottles ‘DRT’ and ‘JDAW’ decanted. Both corks legible and being brought laziness keeping the bottles at home. Both seem to be good juice.
All set.

Re: Tues Sept 10th at TBH
I am at THB and disappointed to find that the Port I was promised is not here.
Not to worry, the medium-rare steak burger is winking at me so at least I have something to do to pass the time.
