220 cases made. Intense and opaque, deep purple in colour. Pure blackcurrants on the lovely, floral nose. A wave of blackcurrant on entry, fabulously floral then intense ripe tannins that grow and grow. Wonderful aromatics, full of roses and lavender. Blackcurrant aftertaste, then a sudden wave of tannins grip and hold for an immense time. This is legendary port in its infancy. 97-99/100. Drunk 16-Sep-13
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
