2011 Quinta do Vale Meao
Fresh minty nose, but with an edge of dirty or bruised fruit. Very smooth texture iwht powerful acidity balanced by harmonious fruit. Soft ripe tannins take control of the palate on days 3 and 4. Long, fruit-driven aftertaste and finish. Different in style from many of the ports of the vintage with the structure coming mainly from the acidity-fruit balance. Very enjoyable. 92-94.
