Seriously? You are guessing a series with 13 episodes?

Clue 2: it is set in the north of England.

This is what has been holding me up. Apart from other traffic on :tpf: cross checking six episodes, two series takes it out of me. Now I've got to add north of England into the search. The next is a guess and a whistful longing;

Citizen Khan has 13 episodes you numbskull.
I am beginning to disbelieve Derek's assertion that the BBC commonly make comedies of 2 series and 12 episodes in total. Tell us the other examples.

This is sort of work-related. But it isn't actually 'work'. And it isn't 'work' in the sense of the day-to-day work that pays for most of my port chits.

I have a fondness, but not the finances for oriental rugs. I have bought one which was sold to me not as a rug but as something else.
What was it sold to me as being and where was it from? I shall spare you the job of identifying the pattern and the approximate date.
