I was thinking the same. It was telling that all his messages came in such a flurry. Probably while he sat on the loo with his laptop.

I think he sneaks into the bathroom with his laptop because it's a place where he can get online undetected. Once the door's closed the loo is the only place to sit. He doesn't actually use it. But he does flush. In case anyone's listening.
