I have looked at the previous question and find nothing suggestive. Kingfisher; The Musical?

Your tone suggests direct knowledge?DRT wrote:The remaining Nolans did indeed gather together in July this year.

No, not the Nolans, Riverdance, Rammstein or Riverdance (or "Kingfisher the musical"!).
No, although to be fair I think in one piece, one of the performers may well have been playing an instrument intended to mimick a bird singing or evoke the image of a bird flying/fluttering... but this is incidental and more likely to confuse then enlighten.djewesbury wrote:Someone doing birdsong.

Further significant clue: The show comprises several pieces played by the performers. All performers play an instrument, almost all of the time. The majority of the time, all of the performers play the same type of instrument.PhilW wrote:Additional clue: all the performers were Japanese.PhilW wrote:Yes.DRT wrote:Is it something connected to Japan?

You went to see the group "Yamato ”“ The Drummers of Japan", or more specifically their new show "Rojyoh".

It was indeed a (superb) performance of Rojyoh - Taiko drumming by the Wadaiko Yamoto, who had not visited the UK for several years. When I saw them originally the performance was breathtaking; since then I have seen other Taiko drummers and been much less impressed and had begun to doubt my original opinion. However seeing the Wadaiko Yamoto again was everything I had hoped for and more. Highly recommended.AW77 wrote:You went to see the group "Yamato ”“ The Drummers of Japan", or more specifically their new show "Rojyoh".
With apologies to PopulusTremula, I think I have to give the next question to AW77 for his precise answer.

Re: One quiz at a time
Yamato regularly perform in Cologne. So I have seen the posters on the tube quite often. I had to think of them when you said that all performers were Japanese.
Now my question:
In this time of year, there often is a connection between an English city and my feet. What is this connection and what is the name of the city?

Gentlemen, this is a serious meaningless drivel thread. I already ruled out shoes (of any kind).
I hope there will be some guesses now. I will give a clue later tonight, but before that please make an effort.
