Golden red, but so very pale. Only 5% opacity. Modest nose of sweet strawberry and iodine. Sweet, soft, little fruit and rather bland pale sugars. Fruit is neutral and modest. The aftertaste and finish is modest but persistent. Drinking adequately today but one to drink up soon. 82/100. Drunk 23-Apr-14.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
