1983 Dow
By the glass from the Oxford & Cambridge Club. Mature red appearance; pruney nose, smelling of stewed fruit, probably from having sat in the decanter for too long. Pleasant flavour, slightly too harsh from being exposed to the air for too long. Reasonable aftertaste. This is OK Port but would have been better if it had been freshly decanted. 85/100. 02-Jul-14. Decant N/K.
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!
