1966 Kopke Colheita (bottled 2015)

Bottled 2015. Deep brick-red colour, 40% opaque and starting to hint at green on the rim. Distinct VA on the nose, rich and honeyed. Smooth in texture and with a rich, fragrant palate that is big, powerful yet focused. The massive levels of acidity keep the balance and focus across the palate. The aftertaste and finish are huge, driven by the fresh acidity. Great port. 95/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
