2013 Quinta do Noval

Medium density of colour, crimson in tone. Little on the nose, just some faint hints of blackcurrant. Rounded fruit entry, with tannins nicely integrated into the sweet cherry and black plum. There is soft acidity under the fruit and tannin. The finish is gentle and flavoursome with a good persistence and finishes with a lovely burst of flavour. 88/100. Tasted 02-Mar-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
