So we are 11 people with 12 bottles ?jdaw1 wrote: ↑15:41 Wed 31 Dec 2025 Usual practice for me is morning decant, into cool decanter, kept cool by ice packs. But I’m bringing a Graham LBV (bot. 2001), as donated by Harry, and likewise a Tesco 1995 doesn’t need a twelve-hour decant. I propose:
• 7am for the Warre Cavadinha 1995, and kept cool;
• After lunch (so in my office) for the Tesco 1995, and kept cool;
• At B&F (so approximately pop-and-pour) for the Graham 1995 LBV, having been kept cool.
Any objections?
Usual request: please would somebody carefully check the placemats.jdaw1 wrote: ↑21:39 Sat 22 Nov 2025… a draft of the placemats, pictures of which have been added to the first post.
Only one question — why is Warre Cavadinha abbreviated to W and not WC?jdaw1 wrote: ↑19:59 Fri 02 Jan 2026Usual request: please would somebody carefully check the placemats.jdaw1 wrote: ↑21:39 Sat 22 Nov 2025… a draft of the placemats, pictures of which have been added to the first post.
I am assuming the FG and TV were given to Mike by Charles last week. I can see the placemats still say CPR - does this need to be updated?jdaw1 wrote: ↑19:59 Fri 02 Jan 2026Usual request: please would somebody carefully check the placemats.jdaw1 wrote: ↑21:39 Sat 22 Nov 2025… a draft of the placemats, pictures of which have been added to the first post.
Zak is currently included on the placemats. He has not confirmed and said he will only know this week. Placemats missing Christian (CDH). Thank you Julian.jdaw1 wrote: ↑19:59 Fri 02 Jan 2026Usual request: please would somebody carefully check the placemats.jdaw1 wrote: ↑21:39 Sat 22 Nov 2025… a draft of the placemats, pictures of which have been added to the first post.
Carelessness. Believed fixed.Alex Bridgeman wrote: ↑07:52 Sat 03 Jan 2026Only one question — why is Warre Cavadinha abbreviated to W and not WC?
Was given to Mike by Charles, who has kindly donated them to a tasting despite his absence. I thought it proper to credit Charles. If you want done differently, then say how.Bertie3000 wrote: ↑13:25 Sat 03 Jan 2026I am assuming the FG and TV were given to Mike by Charles last week. Zak is coming. He’s not a fool; only a fool would not attend; therefore he will attend. How could he not? And Christian added.Bertie3000 wrote: ↑13:43 Sat 03 Jan 2026Zak is currently included on the placemats. He has not confirmed and said he will only know this week. Placemats missing Christian (CDH). I don’t have either of these but could I not just bring the GM that I have sourced or has Neil’s bottle of the same already been adopted?Alex Bridgeman wrote: ↑15:06 Sun 04 Jan 2026 I have 3 at home. I can bring one of those.
Ian - can you bring either a Crasto or Warre LBV? Or do you want to adopt the bottle from me?
Thank you for helping collate the food order Martin. Can everyone please check their food order is correct. I will submit the food order sheet, linked in the opening post, at the end of Tuesday.
For ease, can I suggest:idj123 wrote: ↑16:52 Sun 04 Jan 2026I don’t have either of these but could I not just bring the GM that I have sourced or has Neil’s bottle of the same already been adopted?Alex Bridgeman wrote: ↑15:06 Sun 04 Jan 2026 I have 3 at home. I can bring one of those.

Organiser: please approve or correct.jdaw1 wrote: ↑15:41 Wed 31 Dec 2025Usual practice for me is morning decant, into cool decanter, kept cool by ice packs. But I’m bringing a Graham LBV (bot. 2001), as donated by Harry, and likewise a Tesco 1995 doesn’t need a twelve-hour decant. I propose:

I am not the organiser, but I would request consideration for the Graham LBV to be decanted in the same way as proposed for the Tesco 1995.jdaw1 wrote: ↑22:15 Wed 07 Jan 2026Organiser: please approve or correct.jdaw1 wrote: ↑15:41 Wed 31 Dec 2025Usual practice for me is morning decant, into cool decanter, kept cool by ice packs. Approve. Also fine if you choose to change your decanting approach for the Graham LBV based on the feedback from Alex.jdaw1 wrote: ↑22:15 Wed 07 Jan 2026Organiser: please approve or correct.jdaw1 wrote: ↑15:41 Wed 31 Dec 2025Usual practice for me is morning decant, into cool decanter, kept cool by ice packs. Bertie3000 wrote: ↑08:16 Sat 10 Jan 2026 Is there anyone who can relatively easily print the placemats? I have realised this will not be easy for me.
Brilllant thanks Mike. To avoid possible confusion, when I said placemats I also meant the scoresheets. Hope that is ok. I will aim for 515 too.flash_uk wrote: ↑10:45 Sat 10 Jan 2026Bertie3000 wrote: ↑08:16 Sat 10 Jan 2026 Is there anyone who can relatively easily print the placemats? I can print. Aiming to get to B&F at around 1715.
