Your feelings about him were very clear. My point remains unchallenged apart from Daniel's 'pull yourself together' speech a few posts back. I think the polls are still tightening. Apart from women, still a problem for the yes campaign.

Agreed. If we are not careful there will be no more upside-down Union Flags.
Should we switch the focus to Wales to distract the Scots from voting?

I hope that women will save the day, but I also hope that some sane men will join in.
This is much closer than I ever imagined it would be.

Two years ago I met Boris Johnson in Mumbai and had a chat with him about the Scottish vote. He told me not to worry because the government would play their Ace cards closer to the date and that Salamunger never stood a chance. I'm still waiting on the first Ace.

But there is still time for Boris's rabbit to come out of the hat.

You can understand the dilemma.
Cameron north of the border = disaster for the No campaign
Cameron absent from the campaign = propaganda victory for the Nats.
What should they have done?

The problem with the No campaign is that it's got the word no in the title.

The problem with the No campaign is that it's got the word no in the title.[/quote]Yes vote = Scottish independence in March 2016.
General election set in stone for May 2015.
Yes vote = Scottish MPs elected for 10 months, and then another general election in March 2016 and a 10-month parliament that can do nothing, at a time when the economy is extremely fragile (never mind what Gideon says).
Who choreographed this?

My father made this point the other day and was of the opinion that the question should have been phrased differently. But it was approved by the Electoral Commission.

Do they need some help from Northern Ireland on how to sell a 'No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No' campaign?

The problem is uneducated, self-interested insecurity. As much as it is non-PC to say it there is a large proportion of society that will always follow the view of the Sun or similar. In England these people are voting UKIP. In Scotland they might vote yes.
I'll get my shawl.

+1!
I'm going to bed. The text I'm writing is starting to make even less sense.

Little of these recent posts have had anything to do with Upside Down Union Jacks so I have started a separate thread for the Scottish Independence Question.

Boulevard des Sables d’Or, Barneville Carteret.
We lost a lot of boys reconquering Normandy for the French, but forgot to leave flag instructions.

How do you even do that? Do UK flags actually have grommets on all 4 corners? Or did some uninformed Frenchman deliberately add grommets to the wrong side of the flag so that it could be raised improperly?
/sigh

It is possible that this was ironically intentional given that it appeared during a scientific explanation of disorder.
