My jury service is running longer than expected, so I may be late tomorrow.
Can people who want adoptions please remind me - will try to get bottles to Cookie to bring down ahead of me..

This doesn't appear to include Christopher's guest, but I don't know his initials?Adoptions that I am aware of are Taylor, Kopke, Smith Woodhouse and Gould Campbell
Will have to make a sub for the SW (unless I bring a magnum) as my only 75cL bottles are buried in an owc - have not had a chance to extract them. Propose Feuerheerd.

Both your questions lead to the same point: Christopher's guest, RC, was adopting the SW.
Do people want Feuerheerd, or a mag of SW (extra cost to be split amongst all)?

Feuerheerd would be interesting. A mag of SW will be as black as treacle and should be marked "don't open for 20 years". That mark will apply equally now and in 20 years from now.djewesbury wrote:Both your questions lead to the same point: Christopher's guest, RC, was adopting the SW.

Sorted - Cookie has the bottles and will bring down - I will come down as soon as I can, but as my jury will probably be in recess to deliberate from lunchtime tomorrow, I have no idea when I'll be free..

Houston, we have a problem! Just tried to open and decant the G70 before going into work and no purchase-the seal seemed intact but the cork's obviously dropped into the wine. Bit of bottle stink and so I'm taking no chances and switching to a Ck70, if that's ok-although not much time to stand it beforehand? Appreciate that this will likely mess up the placemats-sorry!

Separately, bringing 1970s to a 1983 Horizontal was not quite the original plan though we could always make space for an extra bottle or few.

Two of them are your, and you might know more about their condition (if storage might have been poor, then you might prefer later). Failing a contrary consensus, I was thinking of about 2pm.

Re: 27 Nov 2013, The Bung Hole, 83@30
Wine Society a new release. Roeda from Nickolls, believed recent release. Personally I would err toward a more generous decant by perhaps 2 hours. Your call. Your ChAA has had poor storage so 2pm is probably a good call.jdaw1 wrote:Two of them are your, and you might know more about their condition (if storage might have been poor, then you might prefer later). I plan to decant all six bottles around 2.00pm...then I will be in London for around 5.00pm...if anyone would like to join me for a pre-match beer let me know.
Re: 27 Nov 2013, The Bung Hole, 83@30
There was space in my bottle carrying bag so I have packed two bottles of claret that will or will not be opened with dinner depending on demand.
