Comes out at about the same price as Waitrose with the offer - Tesco currently have Graham 10YO at a "clubcard price" of £15.

Just had an offer from Bordeaux Index. They have 30 6bt OWCs of ex-Oporto (their description) Fonseca 1985 for £330 IB (or £418 inc VAT & duty).
If anyone wants the full detail ask & I'll forward the email.

I received that offer as well. My only problem is that I'm not willing to spend £1,250 on a bottle that I have not tasted, otherwise I might be very interested in this one.
I also recently received an offer from F+R for 1847 and 1917 Colheitas from Quinta das Carvalhas, but they were even more expensive than the RCV. (£1,850 and £1,350 respectively, as I recall.) Lots of really cool, really old stuff coming out these days... it's just too expensive for me to buy blind.

The Aldi Christmas catalogue is out and wines on sale from 8th November but have already started dribbling into stores. The big news is no 40YO tawny from Fletcher’s this year, so unless it appears as a special, VWP with its Maynards 40YO is the place to go this Christmas for a value 40YO. On the list is more of the Fletcher’s 2016 LBV @ £9.99, a Fletcher’s 10YO tawny (750ml) that was absent last year @ £10.99, the Fletcher’s fine Ruby @ £6.49 that is available year round and a 20cl Fletcher’s Ruby reserve at £4.99. No 450cl jeroboams listed this year either. So a bit disappointing that there is nothing really of note, and even the LBV hasn’t moved on to the 2017 yet. The 10YO Maynards in previous years has been very good so I am hoping that the Fletcher’s will be good too and will grab some of those. They may add some in store specials, but unlikely as it is normally in the catalogue to drive you into store, only to find out the good stuff has sold out in the first day or so!

Correction: my mistake, there is a Fletcher’s 40YO in a traditional 750ml bottle that is an online exclusive.

Garrafeira Baco (
https://garrafeirabaco.pt/) in the Algarve (Loulé) is doing some interesting prices on a few Ports. Don't know if they ship outside of Portugal, but it might be worth and enquiry.
Some examples:
- Taylor's 2003 0.375cl: €35,70
- Dow's 2003: €56,10
- Graham's 2003: €56,10
- Pintas 2003: €56,10
- Taylor's 2007: €61,50
- Graham's 2007: €63,25

Amazon have Dow Quinta Do Bomfim for sale at £20 a bottle, which reduces to £18 if you create a repeat order (which according to their site can be cancelled at any time).
They have it listed as 09/10 which isn't useful but some digging online suggests both of those years are decent quality SQVPs, so I don't mind which I get - I'll try to remember to report back on that front. There aren't any tasting notes on the forum for either yet, as far as I could find.

Sandeman 20 y/o = £30.39 per bottle when ordered from Amazon via a “subscribe and save”, which seems like a good deal. The subscription can be cancelled upon receipt of the first order.

Garrafeira Nacional has 20% on all Ports. The site isn't usually known for its bargains, but I think there's some good value to be had on some products. The Niepoort LBV 2017 for €12,72 and the Niepoort Crusted for €14,40 are, in my opinion, pretty decent buys. The Graham's Malvedos 2009 for €24,76 might be worth a buy as well.

That's such a great deal for a good LBV. Over here, the best we can do is £15.15 (US $20).

Bookers Cash and Carry are selling Taylor 2016 LBV for £8.99/bt (inc VAT) and Tesco have a Clubcard price on it of £10/bt
There seems to be a glut of LBV on the market at the moment - these prices are only around £2/bt higher than Taylor's First Estate reserve ruby.

Have you sampled many of the 2016 LBVs yet? I've only seen the 2015s so far but it seems like those are starting to emerge and I'm wondering how they're fairing in comparison to some lovely 2015 wines.

No - and as they are bargain priced at the moment, I wonder whether it is worth doing an 'economy' offline of 2016 LBVs?
Portugal Vineyards are currently listing 16 different ones, which would make a good table full..

I noticed that Tesco had a 2017 Taylor LBV last week which surprised me because I hadn't thought I'd seen the 2016 out. I'm really hoping that the Symingtons manage to keep the Graham's quality up there for the next release.

Have you had deliveries from Portugal Vineyards in the new post-Brexit world? I looked at Garrafeira National recently but the postage costs were about 70% as much as the cost of the wines so I didn't bother in the end.

Apologies, but this isn't Port for sale. If Admins are suitably upset then please move to an alternative thread...
However, am posting as I'm certain at least one regular reader will be very interested.
Tesco are selling Vergelegen - a Sauvignon Blanc & a Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot - for £10 a bottle.
I have yet to try these, but will be buying as many as I can (hopefully) get.

My Morrisons has Graham’s 2017 LBV on the shelves now jumping straight from the 2015. For those interested in packaging they have at least one new coloured tube (purple) that these are packaged in (normal non-discount price).
I am a bit disappointed they appear to have skipped the 2016 LBV option as I have a case of the 2016 VP for my son Zac and would have liked to get some LBV to go alongside (albeit I know it is filtered and may not last…). I didn’t have the chance to grab a bottle but will soon. Hopefully it is as splendid as the 2015.

Gave up with Tesco, but managed to get some from Amazon at the same price (and arrived next day).
The white (2020) is pretty good, the red (2015) is excellent although really needs to be open for 24 hours to show properly.
Have now made a further purchase of the red.
Stock was imported via Fells, so appears to be legit.
